Completion of all core tutorials or existing familiarity with the configuration builder:

This tutorial builds a completely new, standalone layer, so you can follow it either in the configuration you have been developing, or in a fresh configuration.

Tutorial 5. Categorical data is helpful but not essential — the class list used there is repeated here.
