4-4. Default start location

By default, the Geospatial Explorer opens at global extents. You can set a more useful starting location in the configuration so that users land on the area of interest straight away.

1. Open the Settings tab in the configuration builder.

2. Select Navigation from the settings list.

3. In the Default start location section, pick a country of your choice from the dropdown.

4. Save the settings.

5. Open GE Preview. The map should now open focused on the country you selected rather than the whole world.

Tip

You can also use a custom bounding box if the country dropdown does not match your area of interest exactly.
